Intermediate Video & Film Coastline ROP Program Build upon skills needed for careers in the video, broadcast, and film production industries. Experience both the creative and technical aspects of film making and video production in conjunction with learning about historical and contemporary traditions and conventions. Media Arts Introduction Coastline ROP Program Develop skills in computer design, film and video production, lighting, sound and projection design, and print media design using industry-standard equipment and software. Theater Technology Coastline ROP Program Students will construct sets and scenery, provide lighting, and participate in sound and stage management. Opportunity to participate in a live production will be provided. Broadcast News Coastline ROP Program High school students will master the basics of three-point lighting, video camera techniques, teleprompting, research, script writing, computer graphics, animation, videotape editing and performance techniques. Costume Design Coastline ROP Program earn the many aspects of costume design, from concept to finished garment. Students study the history of clothes and costume from various time periods and cultures, rendering, script analysis and breakdown, costume construction, costume crafts and wardrobe. Media Arts Adv. Coastline ROP Program Instruction will focus on creative components such as film, video, computer, and live production application in both the educational and work-based setting. Multimedia Communications Design Coastline ROP Program Develop a broad perspective of the art, design and communication theory, processes and tools, applications and occupational opportunities in multimedia design. Study of TV and Film Making Coastline ROP Program This course will instruct students on the history, development, and present day aspects of TV and film making. Computer Graphics Coastline ROP Program Become familiar with the components of design and standards of a plan; build the skills necessary to use industry-standard programming to deliver and control pictures through a PC and scanner. Film & Digital Media Studies Coastline ROP Program Students will study award-winning films and videos, learn the fundamentals of visual art as they apply to film, and produce their own original short video projects using industry-standard equipment and software. Media Arts Intermediate Coastline ROP Program Coursework will deepen specific skills in computer design, film and video production, lighting, sound and projection design, and print media design in preparation for a project-based, portfolio-driven capstone course.
