Coastline Regional ROP
Coastline Regional offers very specific training for a number of high-demand medical careers.
Courses offered during the 2020-2021 school year include:

- Medical Careers & Health Systems

North Orange County ROP
NOCROP Patient Care pathway is designed to prepare students for careers in the healthcare fields.
Courses offered during the 2020-2021 school year are:
- Medical Careers
- Body Systems and Disorders
- Dental Core
- Medical Assistant: Clinical and Administrative
- Nursing Assistant: Long-Term Care
- Pharmacy Technology
- Sports Medicine and Therapy
Some courses are offered during school hours, while others meet after school.
Baldy View ROP
Baldy View also provides a selection of courses via their Patient Care Pathway, preparing students for careers in the healthcare occupations.
In 2020-2021, Baldy View will offer the following courses:

Tri-County ROP
Tri-County ROP offers three pathways for students entering the health science and medical technology fields:
- Hospital/Community Health Services
- Patient Care
- Sports Medicine
Clovis High School Career and Technical Education
Clovis High School offers a modest selection of ROP coursework to prepare students who are considering careers in the medical field.
Courses offered during the 2020-2021 school year are:
- Sports Medicine/Fitness
- Principles of Athletic Training
- Rehabilitation Therapy
Santa Cruz County Career Education Partnership
Santa Cruz provides career preparation programs for students entering the fields of Medical Assisting and Dental Assisting.
The Dental Assisting program gives hands-on learning opportunities for students in the following areas:
- CPR
- X-Ray
- Dental nomenclature
- Computer applications
- Asepsis and universal precautions
- Dental materials
- Infection control
- Sterilization procedures
- Instrumentation/equipment
Eden Area ROP
Eden Area ROP offers a Health and Services Pathway which comprises Culinary Arts, Education and Criminal Justice as well as health sciences.
Sub-pathways specifically related to the health sciences are:
- First Responders Fire Science/EMT
- Registered Dental Assisting
- Medical Careers
The First Responders pathway can lead to certification as a Paramedic, Fire Apparatus Engineer or Emergency Medical Technician.
Graduates of the Registered Dental Assisting program may earn certifications as Dental Assistants, Dental Lab Technicians or Dental Hygienists.
Students graduating from the Medical Careers pathway may become certified as Medical Assistants, Personal and Home Care Aides or Pharmacy Aides.
Coursework can also lead to a four-year bachelor’s degree programs in various fields such as Psychology, Nursing, Health Science, Behavioral Science and Nutritional Science.
El Dorado Union High School District
El Dorado Career Technical Education program offers three main pathways within the Health Science and Medical Technology sector. They are:
- Medical Arts and Science
- ROP Health Careers
- ROP Dental Careers
Norwalk La Mirada Adult School
NLMAS provides specialized training for adults who wish to enter the following careers:
- Dental Assistant/Radiology. (Covers Infection Control; leads to Dental Radiology License.)
- Emergency Medical Responder. (Covers Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/CPR.)
- Nursing Assistant. (Leads to pre-certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant/CNA.)
- Pharmacy Technician. (Leads to License and National Exam.)
- Medical Assisting. (CCMA National Certified. Leads to National Exam.)
- Medical Billing and Coding. (Preparation for the CCMA National Coding Exam.)
